Shareworthy from I Heart Monster

1. If you blog anonymously are you happy doing it that way; if you are not anonymous do you wish you had started out anonymously so you could be anonymous now?

I am semi-anonymous. You don’t have to look super-hard to find my real first name somewhere in my blog or in the blogosphere, but I do like the anonymity mostly because my real name is so unique. I don’t do it to hide behind an alias, I do it for personal security reasons.

2. Describe one incident that shows your inner stubborn side:

One? Oh I don’t know. That’s really hard. I have more of an outer stubborn side. Thing is, it doesn’t generally come back to bite me, it’s more ingrained in the way I live my life, so… yeah, not so easy to pin-point one incident. Though I generally do learn from my mistakes stemming from stubbornness.

3. What do you see when you really look at yourself in the mirror?

I see me. My nose. My mouth. My purple streaks in my hair.

4. What is your favourite summer cold drink?

Ice water. I live in Arizona. :o) But if it’s a special day, or event, I love me a good virgin pina colada.

5. When you take time for yourself, what do you do?

I read, duh. And I watch television on my laptop the day after it airs. And I hike. And I sleep.

6. Is there something you still want to accomplish in your life? What is it?

Well, I realized the other day that I really do need some new life goals. I’ve been floating along lately without any goals and it kinda sucks. I need to sit down and figure out what I want to do with the rest of my life.

7. When you attended school, were you the class clown, the class overachiever, the shy person, or always ditching?

I was a 4.0 student who played varsity girls basketball, consistently ditched my 3rd period class, and didn’t make any real friends at the last school I attended. I was always rather opinionated and was quite often a teacher’s pet. Definitely an overachiever.

8. If you close your eyes and want to visualize a very poignant moment of your life what would you see?

Honestly I’m not comfortable sharing any of those moments in a public forum right now. Most of the moments that I remember are tied to very strong emotions, and I’m not to keen on crying this morning.

9. Is it easy for you to share your true self in your blog or are you more comfortable writing posts about other people or events?

You get a lot of me. You get it under a facade of I Heart Monster, but it’s really me, not me pretending to be someone else. You get a lot of my fears, my struggles, and my opinions, and I like it that way. Like I said in the first question, I’m only semi-anonymous. I’m being real when I blog. But I do like to write posts about others as well.

10. If you had the choice to sit down and read or talk on the phone, which would you do and why?

It honestly depends on if I had any exigent needs at the time. If talking on the phone would be important to something I needed at the moment, then obviously I’d choose phone.

If all things were equal and I just had leisure time, I’d choose a book over the phone any day. Even though I spend a lot of time on the phone, mostly it’s not for pleasure.
